I know that Mr. Still is a former paramedic with Colleton County... which makes me wonder why he makes the comment, "the county can start cutting costs by not running fire trucks on EMS calls". He also wants to see the departments operate independently of each other.

This is absolutely amazing to me that he would want to put the citizens of Colleton County lives on the line by cutting the first responders to medical calls off.

Many times the ambulances are on calls or are a distance away... thus the calling of the fire department to assist. The need is more ambulances to enhance the service... not cutting the service.

He needs to long and hard at the service that is now offered and re-think his thoughts on his position.
